What we do

Kept & True is a virtual accounting practice serving self-employed professionals, single-owner S-corporations and small multi-entity businesses across the United States. Every client subscription covers:

• Monthly bookkeeping — your accounts categorised and reconciled, books closed by the 15th of the following month, with a profit and loss and balance sheet delivered to your portal.
• Quarterly tax estimates — calculated from your actual closed books, with a reminder two weeks before every due date.
• Annual tax returns — federal and state, personal and business as your package covers, reviewed and signed by a licensed CPA under his own PTIN.
• Year-round access — portal messages answered within one business day, and an annual tax-planning session before year end.

Pricing

Published, flat, and the same for every client in a tier. Your package is set by your entity type and the number of states you file in.

Work outside your package — additional entities or states, sales-tax filings, inventory accounting, catch-up bookkeeping — is quoted in writing before any work begins. Annual prepayment saves ten per cent.

Billing, cancellation and refunds

How you are billed

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance by card or ACH bank debit. The monthly price is the published price for your tier; nothing is added to an invoice without your written agreement first.

Cancelling

You may cancel at any time, for any reason, on thirty days' written notice through the client portal or by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period in which that notice period expires.

Refunds

Fees already paid for a period in which work was performed are not refunded, and the deliverables for that period are completed provided the account is paid current. Where a one-time fee has been paid for work not yet started, that fee is refunded in full. If we have billed you in error, we correct it and refund the difference.

Disputes

If a charge looks wrong to you, email us before contacting your bank. We will review it and respond within one business day. Charges from us appear on your statement as KEPT & TRUE.

What your subscription funds

Your subscription covers the tax returns for the tax year during which you are a subscriber. Returns for an earlier year are a separate engagement, priced separately.
